Cyber Security Awareness Month - Part One: Phishing
As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, we want to highlight one of the most common and dangerous cyber threats: phishing.
Phishing is a type of cyber-attack that often comes in the form of deceptive emails, messages, phone calls, or websites that appear legitimate but are designed to steal your information or install malware on your device. These attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated, leading to financial loss, data breaches, and even identity theft so it’s important to stay vigilant.

Here are some key tips to help you recognise and avoid phishing attempts:

If you suspect you may be the target of phishing, please:

- Do not respond or click on any links in the email.
- Do not respond to MFA notifications not initiated by you.
- Report the suspicious activity to IT Assist immediately
- Delete suspicious emails from your inbox to prevent further risk.
Please remember your vigilance is our first line of defence against these cyber threats. By staying informed and cautious, we can protect not only our individual assets but also our company's integrity and security.
Thank you for helping keep our digital environment secure!
